Here’s a Man Chopping a Tomato Backwards — And It’s Mesmerizing
To-may-to, oh-tah-mot -- that's how the expression goes right?
There's nothing fancy going here, just high-definition video and sound of a sharp knife slicing through a juicy tomato. Except the video plays in reverse, somehow transforming this seemingly mundane activity into a brilliant feat of culinary magic. These people at the Wryfield Laboratory are onto something.
It's hard to say just what makes this so watchable. Maybe it's the way the man's hands look like they're emerging from the darkness, unattached to the rest of a body. Perhaps it's the sound of the slicing. Who knows? We'll just keep on watching, though we may have to take a break and make ourselves a BLT.
