A 41-year-old man from Chipman has been arrested and charged in relation to numerous offences committed since the beginning of July 2015.

According to police, Donald William McLeod was arrested and appeared In Burton Provincial Court on Monday. He was charged with seven counts of driving while suspended, seven counts of failing to comply with a probation order, six charges of theft and one count of fraud.

Police said, the theft charges stem from several complaints received by the RCMP in relation to stolen gas from service stations around Minto and Chipman.

McLeod remains in custody. He is scheduled to appear in Burton Court on September 28 at 1:30 p.m. for a show cause hearing.
