Members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested 43 year old Eric Kramarz at his Auburn apartment Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with possession of sexually explicit material and was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.

The computer crimes unit received a tip that Kramarz had been communicating over social media with young girls and had obtained sexually explicit photos from some of them.  His cell phone was seized and will be analyzed. Detectives have also reviewed the computers he had access to at the Public Safety dispatch center in Gray, where he has worked for the past 16 years.  Nothing inappropriate was found on the department’s computers.

Kramarz has been placed on administrative leave with pay.  Investigators say he was using Twitter to contact girls around the age of 13 and received photos from some of them.
