After 300+ wins and 10 state championships John Wolfgram is retiring from the high school football coaching ranks.

Wolfgram has been a head coach for 40 years. First with Madison, then Gardiner, South Portland and for the last 10 years at Cheverus. His record is an impressive 309-92-1.

At 67-years-old Wolfgram says it's time to step away from coaching. He will stay on as an English teacher at Cheverus.

Wolfgram came to Maine from Massachusetts to play football at the University of Maine and his been on the sidelines ever since his college days.
