Way up north deep in the woods of Maine sits two old locomotives that have been dormant since the 1930s.

The locomotives were used to transfer wood to Great Northern Paper mills in Millinocket and East Millinocket. They needed the trains to move the wood because they couldn't use the lakes and rivers due to the fact that the water flows north to the St. John River, the mills were south of the river so they built a railroad.

The trains were used in an area so remote that they decided to park the trains after the Great Depression instead of move them out of the woods.
