A simple gesture on Tuesday will go a long way in showing support to a community grieving and help support two local families during a traumatic time. Presque Isle high school will be wearing purple to show support to Rhiauna Davenport as well as the family of Aaron Marston.
This week the Fort Kent Community School system is bringing awareness to cancer and raising money for a local charity that supports individuals and families in the St. John Valley that are going through their cancer journey. The Edgar J. Paradis Cancer fund has supported over 1600 families in the Valley since it was established in 1978.
However, substance use and addiction took over and Herren nearly lost it all, before rebounding and turning over a new leaf. Chris Herren will be in Aroostook County later this fall speaking about his battles on and off of the court.
The Hunter Brothers Farm in Florencville-Bristol will be opening up their corn maze on Saturday September 10 and this year's maze looks like it will give families a fun filled afternoon.
The 2022 corn maze at Goughan's Farm is a tribute to the Aroostook County Action Program (ACAP) as the agency celebrates its 50th year serving the area.
