Caribou Police Looking For Person Who Ran Down A Wild Turkey
On Friday, January 22 at approximately 2:45pm, Caribou Police responded to the Mitchell Road for a complaint of an animal being intentionally run down by a motor vehicle.
Police learned that a resident of the Mitchell Road along with their young daughter were watching several wild turkeys cross the roadway. An approaching vehicle accelerated and crossed into the left lane in an effort to intentionally run one of the turkeys over.
Unfortunately, the vehicle was successful in striking and killing one of the birds.
