Clay Buchholz pitched seven strong innings while David Ortiz hit another homer and drove in three runs as the Red Sox beat the White Sox 5-2. The win moves the Sox back into first place in the AL East.

Buchholz gave up a first inning home run to Jose Abreu then shut down the White Sox to get his first win of the year. Koji Uehara and Craig Kimbrel finished the game.

At the plate, Big Papi ripped his sixth homer of the year. Xander Bogaerts and three hits and a RBI.

The Sox are now 16-11 and a half game ahead of Baltimore for the AL East lead.
