The Boston Bruins scored two goals in a 42-second span in the third period and beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1. The B's first win against the Habs since March of 2014.

Trailing 1-0 and trying to kill a penalty, the Bruins got a shorthanded goal from Loui Eriksson to tie the game. 42-seconds later, newcomer Landon Ferraro scored to give the B's the lead. Patrice Bergeron added a late third period goal for insurance and the Bruins had their win in Montreal - a rare thing.

Tuukka Rask made 32 saves in goal as Boston moves to 15-9-3.

The next time these teams meet - New Year's Day, at the Outdoor Classic at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
