It was a game that only had 3 penalties and just two goals. Unfortunately for the Bruins both goals were scored by St.Louis who gave Boston its first shutout of the season.

Boston goalie Tuukka Rask and St. Louis goaltender Jake Allen were on their game through the first two periods as the teams went into the second intermission scoreless.

The Blues would break through 7:35 into the third period when Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 22nd goal of the season which would turn out to be the game winner. Just over 5 minutes later Robby Fabbri would add the insurance goal and seal the win for the Blues.

Allen made 32 saves in net to blank the Bruins. Rask took the loss while stopping 27 of the 29 shots he faced.

Boston will get a few days off for the holidays before returning to the ice Saturday against Buffalo in a game that will be played at the Garden.
