Body of Missing New Brunswick Man Found
The body of a 22-year-old Minto area man reported missing two weeks ago has been recovered after a vehicle was pulled from a lake east of Fredericton.
The RCMP said the car–a blue Ford Fusion–was spotted by a fisherman on French Lake in Lakeville Corner Tuesday night. The car was retrieved late Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Mitchell Veenhuis left his residence in Clark's Corner, New Brunswick on the night of October 14, telling his roommate he would return shortly. He was reported missing the following day.
Veenhuis' family was at the site Wednesday, waiting in silence as a tow truck worked at the edge of the lake. RCMP say the body of was discovered in the car, according to a report by the CBC.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
