UMaine women's basketball is back down to .500 after losing to Tulane University Wednesday afternoon 77-62. The Black Bears are now 7-7.

Maine jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the first quarter and led by three points at the half.

But the (9-4)Green Wave outscored the Bears 24-12 in the third quarter and never gave up the lead.

Tulane scored 23 points off Maine turnovers and beat the Bears in points in the paint 32-22.

Sigi Koizar led the Black Bears with 24 points. Julie Brosseau had 11.

Kolby Morgan led the Green Wave with 26. Leslie Vorphal scored 24, including her 1,000th career point.

Maine takes its 7-7 record to Boston College for a final non-conference game Friday afternoon.
