Love being in the great outdoors and enjoying all that a Maine winter has to offer?
Bigrock Mountain in Mars Hill will be hosting the Maine Principal Association Class "B" and Class "C" Alpine State Championships on Monday, February 16th and Tuesday, February 17th. They are expecting between 150 - 180 racers each day, with racers from all over the state.
On Monday, the competition will kick off with Boys Slalom starting at 8:30 a.m. followed by Girls Slalom starting at 11:15 a.m.

On Tuesday, the events start with Boys Giant Slalom starting at 8:30 a.m. followed by Girls Giant Slalom at 11:15 a.m.

The backbone of any successful event is the efforts of volunteers who create, a safe, fun, and fair competition. And guess what? Volunteers are needed to help with these races. All volunteers will receive a voucher for a lift ticket at Bigrock Mountain for each day worked. Bigrock will also provide lunch and hand-warmers for all volunteers the day of the race.
IMPORTANT TIME COMMITMENTS:

Sunday, February 15th. 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Mandatory Volunteer Meeting
Monday, February 16th, 8:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, February 17th, 8:00 - 2:30 p.m.

There is no experience necessary! They will help to train you depending on your role. Positions are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Once a role is filled, you will then be assigned where there is a need.
