The Maine Black Bears scored the first five points of the game. Seton Hall scored the next 24 points...and went on to beat UMaine 72-43.

The loss drops Maine to 1-10. Seton Hall improves to 10-2.

Maine freshman guard Aaron Calixte hit a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer but the Bears were down 36-16.

The Pirates started the second half on a 10-5 run and kept the 20+ plus lead throughout the rest of the game.

Till Gloger was the only double digit scorer for Maine with 12.

Seton Hall had four, led by Sterling Gibbs with 18.

Maine shot just 34% while the Pirates hit 49%. The Bears were also just 3-for-19 (16%) on 3-pointers.

Combine that with a Seton Hall 46-32 advantage in rebounding and Maine turning the ball over 20 times, it was a long day for the Bears.

UM was playing with a short bench that included no Zarko Valjarevic who is averaging 11 ppg.

Maine plays one more time out of conference before America East play - at Quinnipiac Monday night.
