The University of Maine women's basketball team wasted little time posting their 8th win of the season scoring early and often in a 76-38 win over Bryant.

UMaine put 11 players in the scoring column with Sigi Koizar lading the way with a game high 18 points. Liz Wood added 12 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 6 steals. Sophie Weckstrom was the other Black Bear in double digits as she finished with 10 points.

The win was the 10th straight for the Bears at home and improved their record to 8-4 this season. The winning margin of 38 points is the biggest for a UMaine women's team in 18 years. In 1997 they beat the Drexal Dragons 110-68.

The Bears shot 58 percent for the game while forcing the Bulldogs into 25 turnovers and coming away with another 15 steals.

Maine will now start a difficult stretch with games against Clemson, Purdue and North Carolina. First up are the Clemson Tigers Thursday at the Cross Center. The games against the Boilermakers and Tar Heels will both be on the road.
