Awards Continue For Sam Dexter
The awards continue to pour in for University of Southern Maine SS Sam Dexter - now D3Baseball has named him Division III National Player of the Year.
This honor comes after Dexter has already been named Little East Conference Player of the Year and New England Regional Player of the Year.
The former Messalonskee HS Eagle player had a terrific junior year - .441 average with 8 HRs and 44 RBI. He also stole 11 bases.
His USM Huskies bowed out at the New England NCAA Regional and missed chance at a third straight trip to the Division III CWS which begins tomorrow in Appleton, Wisconsin.
