Herb considers himself luckiest guy in the world to be able to captain one of the greatest rock stations in the USA! That's why the call him "The Captain," right? He's been on the Blimp for over 30 years, and no two days have ever been the same. He calls Blimp listeners “friends I’ve never met,” and it’s true as they share a common bond of living in Maine and a passion for Rock and Roll. He also enjoys working with so many local charities and businesses as well. He's wicked proud to represent Townsquare Media as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Maine Association of Broadcasters and as a board member of NESCom at Husson University.

Back when the pandemic first started, and Maine was pretty much shut down, we REALLY didn't want anyone from away coming into the state and messing up our low COVID rates. Especially if they were from New Jersey and New York. Poor Fran got a lot of flak for riding around in a rental with Jersy plates on and had to post a sign telling everyone if was just HER.
Is Maine’s Bob Marley Falling For the Southern Hospitality of South Carolina?

He is a treasure that should be protected at all costs! We recently saw that Bobby was in South Carolina visiting some friends. Now, the situation down in the South is that everyone seems and talks REALLY friendly. Much more so than up here. And I think all that friendliness is kinda freaking Bob Marley out.
