RCMP are investigating the death of a man in Keswick Ridge man as a homicide, according to Cpl. Chantal Farrah of the New Brunswick RCMP.

Police were called to a residence on Route 616 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Friday,  When police arrived, they discovered the body of a man inside the residence.

Police have confirmed the victim is a 34-year-old man from Keswick Ridge.

A 30-year-old man from the Fredericton area was arrested Friday, questioned and released.  No charges have been laid at this time, according to an RCMP statement on Monday. Police do not believe the alleged killing was random.

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is assisting Keswick RCMP with the ongoing investigation.
