You might notice that gas prices around New England have fallen a little bit more this past week.

According to the latest GasBuddy.com survey of gas outlets around the region, prices at the pumps here in Maine decreased by 1.2 cents a gallon to an average of $2.54 a gallon. Monday morning, prices in Presque Isle were $2.71 a gallon at most places

Next door in New Hampshire, prices fell nearly a penny to an average $2.50 a gallon. Pump prices in Vermont fell 1 cent over the past week to $2.55 a gallon.

Gas prices across the country dropped off by 3.9 cents to $2.49 a gallon, which is 3.4 cents a gallon higher than last month and 37.9 cents higher than it was last year at this time.
