American Pie Singer Don McClean Fined For Speeding In Maine [VIDEO]

WGME.com reports that Don McClean was fined.  Apparently the rock and roll legend was driving his ‘Chevy to the levy’ a little too fast in Camden, ME recently. In actuality it was a Chrysler and the ‘American Pie’ singer was driving 43 mph through a 15 mph school zone.

To be accurate, the speed limit is only 15 mph when the warning lights are flashing and 45 mph when they’re not.  Of course there was an argument about whether or not they were flashing.  On Thursday, January 24, McClean was fined $400, ‘the courtroom was adjourned-no verdict was returned.’  Sorry, I love that song.  McClean quickly paid the fine and went on his way.
