All Star MVP Hosmer Uses Maine-Made Bat [VIDEO]

When Kansas City Royals slugger Eric Hosmer powered his way to the All Star Game MVP Award Tuesday night, he did so using a bat made in Shirley, Maine.

Dove Tail Bat Company owner Paul Lancisi says Hosmer and about six other KC Royals use bats made in his Shirley shop, which is located in Piscataquis County.

Other players using Dove Tail Bats include Bryce Harper, Anthony Rondon, Jurickson Profar. And, top ranked Red Sox prospect Yoan Moncada will soon be using the bats.

Hosmer went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI to win the Ted Williams All Star MVP Award.

Lancisi says business is booming as more and more big league players are finding out about his bats. Dove Tail Bat is one of about 36 bats companies licensed by MLB.
