The Dirt, the long-awaited biopic of Motley Crue, is getting closer to the hitting the big screen: it's scheduled to go into production next month, and -- crucially -- now appears to have the main cast set.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Iwan Rheon of Game of Thrones and Daniel Webber of The Punisher are in contract negotiations to portray guitarist Mick Mars and lead singer Vince Neil, respectively. Barring any bumps in the road, the two will join Douglas Booth and Machine Gun Kelly, who were revealed to be playing bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee, respectively, last week.

The Dirt is Based on the 2001 autobiography, Motley Crue's The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, which detailed the band's debauchery and excess throughout their career. Penned in collaboration with writer Neil Strauss, the book went on to become a New York Times bestseller.

The film adaptation of the book will be directed by Jeff Tremaine, who served as the director and producer of the three main Jackass films as well as the franchise's offshoot, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. The members of Motley Crue are serving as co-producers on the film. It's been a long road for the flick, which has been in the works for a decade and a half and attached to different Hollywood studios. Last spring, The Dirt finally signed with Netflix.

Motley Crue formed in 1981 and went on to become one of the most high profile bands to come out of the mid-80s Los Angeles hard rock and hair metal scene. Infighting led to lineup changes throughout the 90s and early 00s, but the group retired from touring with its original lineup intact, playing their final show Dec. 31, 2015.
