After an intense manhunt on Friday for alleged gunman Anthony Lord, he'll make his initial court appearance on Monday.

According to State Police Spokesman Steve McCausland, Lord is due in Houlton District Court at 11:30 a.m.

The 35-year-old Lord is currently being held at the Aroostook County Jail charged with two counts of murder, though police say more charges could be added once their investigation is complete.

The deceased are 58-year-old Kevin Tozier of Lee, who was shot at a woodlot in Lee, and 22-year-old Kyle Hewitt of Caribou, who was shot at the Irish home in Benedicta. Kyle was the boyfriend of kidnap victim Brittany Irish.

Wounded in the shootings are 55-year-old Kim Irish at her home in Benedicta (Brittany Irish’s mother); Carlton Eddy of Benedicta who was shot while driving in his pickup truck near the Irish home, and 54-year-old Clayton McCarthy of Mattawamkeag who was shot at the woodlot at Lee. The three are being treated for gunshot wounds and are expected to survive.

Kary Mayo of Silver Ridge Township was also injured when his home was broken in to by Lord.

We'll have more information on the outcome of Lord's court appearance as it becomes available.
