A tractor trailer rolled off I-95 in Augusta Tuesday morning after stopping to check a load and getting pulled into the wet embankment and rolling over.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. near mile marker 112 as the driver, Joshua Linfield from Massachusetts, pulled over into the break down lane and then into the soft, wet shoulder to check his load of metal and building material, said the Maine State Police.

Linfield was taken to Maine General in Augusta after complaining about shoulder pain.

The Maine DOT closed the travel lane to make a safe work area for first responders, rescue workers and wrecker crews. The interstate was shut down, but has reopened.
