6-Team Legion Baseball Tourney Begins

The six team Zone 1 American Legion baseball tournament field is set and play begins today with two play-in games at the Winkin Complex at Husson University.

Here's the order of finish in Zone 1 with the top two teams getting first round byes...

3. Brewer                                13-5

4. R.H.Foster(Hampden)           12-6

5. Trenton                                11-7

6. Motor City                            10-8

Today's Schedule.... 4pm:  #3  vs  #6     7pm:  #4  vs  #5

Play continues on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. An if necessary game is set for Sunday.

The zone winner and runnerup advance to the state tournament in South Portland.

The Bangor team is defending zone and state champion.
