As Mainers, one thing we know for sure and that’s snow! With the recent snow storms blowing through Presque Isle and the rest of Northern Maine, we got plenty of snow on the slopes waiting for the eager skiers. Check out the 6 best places to ski.
1. Bigrock Mountain - will open the ski trails on December 15! You can purchase a variety of ski passes, including seasonal and daily. The ski resort even offers a ski school.
2. Quaggy Jo Mountain Trail - is a fun trail that offers a great experience to advance skiers.
3. Maine Winter Sports Center - ideal for people with different level of ski experience. The center also has teams such as a cross-country team and a biathlon team you can join if you wish.
4. Nordic Heritage Center - promotes a variety of programs for people who wish to enjoy outdoor activities regardless of the season.
5. Crabbe Mountain, Central Hainsville - located in New Brunswick, the center offers many snowboarding classes and ski opportunities to ski enthusiasts who want to explore.
6. Mont Farlagne, Edmundston - also located in New Brunswick. If you are headed to Canada to visit then you should stop by and hit Mont Farlagne ski trails. They also offer a ton of evening activities so you can make it a short weekend trip.
