The Presque Islet Elks, Lodge #1954, will once again host a free stew night for all military Veterans and current servicemen and their spouses to express their appreciation for their invaluable service to our country.


The stew night will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 6:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 508 Main Street in Presque Isle.   .

Marion Donahue, Exalted Ruler of the Presque Isle Elks stated “November for all Elks is National Veterans Month.  Elks Lodges throughout the nation will be holding special events to celebrate this nation’s military veterans,”

The Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, will be serving a free, traditional Saturday evening meal for all area Veterans and servicemen and their spouses.  The menu for this event will include chicken stew, ployes, beef stew, home-made baked beans, hot rolls, corn chowder, corn muffins, chili, fresh biscuits, a variety of desserts, coffee, tea and soft drinks.  Members of the Presque Isle Elks will be holding this event from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12.  There is no charge for any military Veteran, serviceman or their spouses.   The event will be open to the public with a charge of $5 per person for anyone who wishes to attend and does not have military service.
