2015 Meduxnekeag River Canoe Race Coming up in Houlton
Grab your friends and life jacket, pack a cooler and get ready for a wild ride down one of Aroostook County’s raging rivers! The Annual Meduxnekeag River Canoe Race is happening on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 in Houlton!
Gather your team, or cheer them on and join the fun! Registration will be held beginning on race day at 8:30 a.m. Boats start launching from the Station Road in New Limerick at 10 o’clock Saturday morning. It goes just under 9 miles to the finish line at the walking bridge in Houlton with the awards ceremony in Riverfront Park.
The river is high this year, so climb in, maybe get a little wet, and enjoy the fast ride.
A $15.00 entry fee will get you a great t-shirt and a fun filled day!
To register, complete the registration form and mail or drop it off in person to the Houlton Chamber Office on Main Street all this week.
The public is invited to join in the festivities.
