2014 New Brunswick Flu Season Winding Down
It would appear that flu cases are on the decline in New Brunswick now, and the number of flu cases in the province are down slightly from last year.
According to the province’s acting Chief Medical Office of Health, Doctor Denis Allard says there were 1,325 reported cases of influenza “A” with 11 flu related deaths this year.
Allard says the flu arrived in the province about two weeks earlier than normal.
He said this year's flu strain was more intense but didn’t last as long. Allard says most of the flu cases this year were H1N1.
