The Tour of France and Silent Auction to Benefit Hospice of Aroostook – This wonderful event happens Friday evening at the Anah Temple Shriner’s Hall in Presque Isle – Silent Auction is from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Dinner is at 6. Fun and dancing until 11. Tickets are $25 per person and available online at www.emhsfoundation.org or by calling 498-2578

Aroostook Birders – will have a Waterfowl walk at the Aroostook River boat landing starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The first annual Cary Donor Dash 5K is Saturday. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. at Griffeth Ford in Caribou. This great walk/run is for Organ and Tissue Awareness. Contact Ann King at 498-1282 for more info.

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will hold an ATV safety course for ages 10 through adult  Saturday from 9 to 3. The fee for the class is $5 per person. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call  493-4224.

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The event provides a safe and convenient way dispose of used and unwanted prescription drugs.  Click here for a collection site near you.

Wintergreen Arts Studio  is hosting an “All About Spring” open studio  from 10 to noon on Saturday.

Kappa Delta Phi Color Run in Fort Kent will benefit Homes for Our Troops.  The run starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 10th Mountain Center.  Only $10 or $20 with an event T-shirt.

Saturday evening is the Aroostook Autism Support Group Dinner & Auction starting at 5:00 p.m. at UMPI’s Multipurpose Room in the Campus Center. The cost is $20 per person.

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will be in concert on Saturday at 3:00PM at Houlton Community Arts Center. Sponsored by Greater Houlton Christian Academy.

The annual talent show to benefit Aroostook Football  will be held on Saturday 7pm in Wieden Auditorium on the UMPI campus. The show will feature a variety of local talent including singers, dancers, and musicians. Tickets are $10 ($5 for children under 12).  Available at Machias Savings Bank in Presque Isle or at the door.

The Mars Hill Fire Department will hold its 99th Annual Fireman's Ball on Saturday at the Mars Hill and Blaine Community Center. Music will be by "Centerline" and the dance is from 9 to 1. Tickets are $20 per couple in advance or $25 at the door.

Sunday brings another great race! The Autism Challenge 5K will be held at the Presque Isle Middle School Track. Run starts at 10:30 a.m. Fee is $20 for adults and $10 for 18 and under.

Swimming will be the focus of REDY…Set…Let’s Go! Youth Triathlon Training at UMPI’s Gentile Hall.  This kid’s event starts at 1:00 p.m. Sunday  and parents are encouraged to participate.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host the Northern Maine Chamber Society Concert at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Wieden Auditorium. FMI, contact Sue Herold at 473-7698
